Amsterdam (postal code 1046 BP)

Possible days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat

7 hours per day, 35 hours per week

Ensuring that 30,000 mail items pass through the sorting machine correctly requires someone who understands how the machine works, stays alert, and can come up with solutions quickly.

Every day at PostNL, we deliver 8 million mail items: letters, cards, magazines, and business mail. In our sorting centers, all this mail passes through various specialized sorting machines. From small to XXL, in all shapes and weights, and from a few hundred to 30,000 items per hour. These are important machines, and operating them is an important job. Your sense of responsibility, knowledge of the process, and ability to maintain an overview are given ample room as you ensure these machines remain in top condition.

Thanks to you, the machines work correctly and continue to do so. From preparing the sorting process and deploying staff to feeding mail into the feeder, to using the control screen. If a malfunction occurs, you try to find a solution as quickly as possible. After all, two minutes of downtime can mean 1,000 fewer mail items are sorted! You resolve this yourself or call in the Technical Department as soon as possible. Naturally, you primarily try to prevent malfunctions by performing (or having performed) preventive maintenance very regularly. You are focused on a safe working environment for everyone and collaborate easily with your colleagues, the team coach, and the process coordinator.
